Quick-2, Version 1.0

This page provides resources to download and run the Quick-2, Version 1.0 program, a Microsoft DOS hydraulic analysis program (similar to HEC-2) used to compute water-surface elevations in open channels.

Quick-2 was developed to accompany the FEMA guidance manual titled, Managing Floodplain Development in Approximate Zone A Areas. Quick-2 is designed to assist community engineers, architecture and engineering firms, developers and others at the local level who may be required to develop Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) for Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs) that have been designated as Zone A.

Resources on the latest version, Quick-2, Version 2.0, are available on the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Software Page.

Note: Users should note that Quick-2,Version 1.0 only operates on a Disk Operating System (DOS) or DOS emulator, which FEMA does not maintain.
