The 2017 Annual Hazard Mitigation Stakeholder Workshop is scheduled from Wednesday, May 31 through Friday, June 2, 2017, at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD. Invitees will include State Hazard Mitigation Officers, State NFIP Coordinators and Tribal Hazard Mitigation Officers. The 2017 Workshop theme is Mitigate Together: Coordinating Resources for Resilient Communities. Information regarding registration for the 2017 Workshop will be provided later this fall.
FEMA is accepting abstracts from invitees for this meeting based on the workshop theme through November 15 and will provide notice of acceptance of the abstrracts in January 2017.

FEMA has released the Hazard Mitigation Assistance Cost Share Guide. The Hazard Mitigation Assistance Cost Share Guidance is a tool for Applicants, Subapplicants and FEMA to assist with understanding match requirements for FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grants. The Guide encourages early coordination for cost share strategies and provides helpful examples for various approaches such as donated resources for the non-Federal cost share.

FEMA released the Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) Tool version 5.2.1. Version 5.2.1 replaces the older versions of the BCA Tool and is available for use to demonstrate cost-effectiveness for FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant programs. Users must download the Benefit Cost Analysis Version 5.2.1 Setup Standard Zip File, extract the contents into a folder on the user's computer and then run BCAV5_2_1_Setup_Standard.exe to install.

FEMA has released the Fiscal Year 2015 Hazard Mitigation Assistance Guidance and Addendum. This document is applicable for major disasters declared on or after February 27, 2015.
FEMA has released 23 new Resources and Job Aids for the Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant programs.
