About the 39th MG

The 39th Medical Group, located at Incirlik Air Base, is the Air Force's only medical treatment facility in Turkey.

The 39th MDG maximizes the health of the 39th ABW by supporting multiple missions to ensure wartime readiness and strives to provide the best healthcare possible.

Announcements

As we all know, being stationed at Incirlik is great and our relative proximity to Europe, Africa, and Asia affords us some pretty good travel opportunities.

The best way to stay safe and healthy while travelling abroad is to know how to prevent illness and injury before you go.

The 39 MDG's Public Health department can equip you with the knowledge you need.

They offer Travel Medicine services which include location specific information on disease prevention, vaccine requirements, medication recommendations, and provider referrals.

A Travel Medicine consultation is recommended at least 3 weeks before overseas travel (especially to Africa and Asia) and is open to Active Duty, Civilians, and Dependents.

Public Health can also give you information on travel within Turkey.

So call Public Health at 676-6123 if you are planning to travel overseas and they will help you make sure that your trip is defined by the memories and not the Malaria.

39th Medical Group

The 39th Medical Group maximizes the health of the 39th Air Base Wing supporting conventional missions to ensure wartime readiness. The medical group also provides preventative and clinical health and wellness services for 5,000 beneficiaries in Turkey to include five geographically separated units and NATO forces. The 39th MDG also operates an ambulatory surgery clinic with an expansion capability of up to 150 beds. Finally, the 39 MDG was recognized as the 2014 Air Force Surgeon General's Clinic of the Year.

Deployed Personnel

Deployers should complete a brief TRICARE registration upon arrival to recieve more efficient care at Incirlik.

International Medical Care

If traveling away from the base and requiring medical care call International SOS at 00-44-20-8762-8133. The SOS number is available 24/7 and can assist in locating a nearby medical facility.

When traveling, carry the TRICARE Europe Healthcare Passport, which is available at the TRICARE office. The healthcare passport is filled with helpful information and phone numbers while traveling.

Renewing an expired medication prescription
To renew an expired medication prescription, contact your primary care manager and request a prescription renewal. Then, check in at the pharmacy.

Refilling Prescriptions
To refill a prescription, call the automated prescription refill line at 676-1242. Follow the prompts and enter only the numerical portion of the prescription when requested.
