606 ACS joins Team Aviano family

AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy --

The 606th Air Control Squadron officially joined the Team Aviano family during an activation ceremony at Aviano Air Base, Italy on Nov. 1, 2016. The 606th ACS began their relocation from the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany in February 2016. The unit was added to the 31st Operations Group as a part of the European Infrastructure Consolidation. The unit is comprised of more than 300 Airmen from 25 Air Force specialty codes, and $170 million of equipment, including two TPS-75 radars, long-haul communications equipment, generators and 109 tactical vehicles.
