3rd MLG Command Master Chief
Command Master Chief (SW/AW) Kevin Pitre

Command Master Chief Kevin Pitre was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from Church Point High School in May 1986. He enlisted in the United States Navy and reported to Recruit Training Command, San Diego, California on March 1987. Upon completion of recruit training he reported to his first sea tour assignment.

    

Master Chief Pitre’ sea duty assignments include: USS Richmond K Turner (CG-20); USS Frank Cable (AS-40); USS McFaul (DDG 74); USS George Washington (CVN 73); USS George H W Bush (CVN 77); USS Shiloh (CG-67); and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Two Three “WILDCARDS”. His shore assignments have included: Naval Station Charleston SC; Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy; and the Senior Enlisted Leader at Fleet Industrial Supply Center Command, Norfolk.

 

In July 2016, Command Master Chief Pitre assumed his present duties as Command Master Chief for 3D Marine Logistic Group.

    

Command Master Chief Pitre is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 136), Command Master Chief/Chief of The Boat Capstone (Class 90). He has qualified as Fleet Marine Forces Enlisted Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist. Master Chief Pitre is a certified Master Training Specialist and Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University and Master in Business Administration with American InterContinental University.

 

Command Master Chief Pitre’s personal awards include:

Meritorious Service Medal (2 gold stars), Joint Service Medal (2 gold stars), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 gold stars), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (8 gold stars), Good Conduct Medals (5), and numerous campaign medals and unit awards.
