The BW&T/Alabama-Coosa Project Management Office is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama along the banks of the Black Warrior River. The area of responsibility for this office falls within the Mobile District's Civil Works Project Boundary.

The Project Management Office is responsible for all Civil Works activities along the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway including the Locust Fork, Mulberry Branch, and the Alabama-Coosa Waterways.

The Project Management Office also has responsibility for the operation and maintenance of nine Locks & Dams and two hydro-electric generating plants found on the BW&T and Alabama waterways. The Project office is further divided into four regional Site Offices which include Tuscaloosa, Demopolis, Alabama River Lakes (R.F. Henry), and Millers Ferry. The four Site Offices provide site specific administration to Navigation, Hydro-electric generation and Recreation Management activities.
