About Us

The Joint Commission National Quality Approval Emblem

The 436th Medical Group is responsible for providing a full spectrum of health care and patient-centered treatment for the men and women of Dover Air Force Base and more than 11,000 TRICARE beneficiaries. The 436th Medical Group also supports the unique mission of the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations Center. This mission is a 24-hour operation of returning America's fallen heroes home, preparing them for their final resting place, and ensuring families have the support they need during this critical time.

The 436th Medical Operations Squadron provides the majority of medical care for non-flying beneficiaries. It offers quality health care and full-spectrum preventive and primary care services in Family Health and Pediatrics. Additionally, it offers specialty care in Women's Health, Physical Therapy, and Mental Health.

The 436th Aerospace Medicine Squadron provides direct medical support to operational forces through surveillance, identification and mitigation of hazards. The flights within the squadron work cohesively to ensure that all of Dover AFB's personnel are medically fit and operationally ready to fulfill all aspects of the wing's global airlift mission. Services include Flight and Operational Medicine, Optometry, Dentistry, Public Health, and Bioenvironmental Engineering.

The 436th Medical Support Squadron provides diagnostic and therapeutic services, TRICARE, outpatient administration, resource management, medical information systems management, medical logistics, facility management, and personnel and administrative support for the Medical Group and eligible beneficiaries.
