REMINDER: All JSGMESB applicants will load their own application documents into the Medical Operational Data System (MODS) website. If you do not already have a MODS account, you will need to "REQUEST A LOGONID" on the MODS website (https://education.mods.army.mil/MEDED/UserLogon/UserLogon.asp); if you have a CAC, you will be able to use your CAC to login and create an account. This year, no documents will be mailed to the Physician Education Branch at AFPC.
Once applications and supporting documents are uploaded, applicants will receive an updated email checklist regarding the status of their application
The only documents applicants are authorized to provide to an active duty program director or consultant, for the official interview, are the 2-page DoD application and Curriculum Vitae. No other documents may be requested or submitted.

Physician Education Branch

The goals and objectives of the Physician Education Branch are to manage all physician undergraduate and graduate programs sponsored by the USAF. This involves monitoring the training progress of all allopathic/osteopathic students (HPSP and USUHS Programs), active duty programs and deferred programs. The Branch reviews and processes all applications for graduate medical education programs. The Branch organizes and conducts the annual Joint Service Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JSGMESB). The Branch administers the AF CME program for the Office of the Surgeon General, to provide continuing medical education through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

- 2016 JSGMESB NOTICE TO APPLICANTS
  
  The 2016 Joint Service Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JSGMESB)
  application window opens 1 JULY 2016
  You will be able to access the instructions and application forms by selecting the appropriate links under the "Instructions for Applicants" title below. The Medical Operational Data System (MODS) website will open on 1 July and will remain open until Midnight on 31 August 2016 for completion of the initial electronic portion of the Military GME application. Your DoD application and Curriculum Vitae may be downloaded from the MODS website once you have entered your information.
  No new applications will be accepted after 31 August 2016. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
  All enrolled applicants will be able to continue to update their application and upload documents until the application window closes Midnight 15 October 2016. All JSGMESB applicants ill load their own application documents into MODS.
  Only official USMLE/COMLEX complete transcripts will be accepted. Once applications and supporting documents are uploaded into MODS, applicants will receive an updated email checklist regarding the status of their application.
  Interviews with Military Program Directors will be scheduled between 1 July and 7 October 2016.

  Letter writers may obtain a MODS password to upload their letters of recommendation

Once approval has been granted, you may search for the medical student to upload the documents listed above.
