Statement regarding MCM10K Results
MCM10K participants experienced a brief operational stop during the running of the event on Sunday, October 28. The delay was uniform in duration for all participants and, therefore, will not result in any adjustment to chip time results. Gun time will be utilized for the official finish time results for all participants. The MCM appreciates the compliance and support of the runners.

Largest MCM Hosts 23,515 Finishers
In the largest participation in the event's 37 year history, the MCM weclomed 1,568 more participants then in any previous year when 23,515 runners from every state and 54 countries crossed the finish line at the Marine Corps War Memorial U.S. Army elite runners led the pack taking the top two spots as well as the Armed Forces Team Championship.

Nearly 100,000 Expected to Attend MCM Health & Fitness Expo Presented by GE
On Thursday, October 25, the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) will open the spectacular Health & Fitness Expo presented by GE. A special opening ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. to kick off the three-day extravaganza that is free and open to the public. The DC Armory is located at 2001 E. Capitol Street SE Washington, D.C. with free parking available outside the Armory.

MCM to Host Press Brief on Oct. 26 Featuring Actor/US Marine Rob Riggle and MCM Runners
The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is hosting a press brief on Friday, Oct. 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. featuring MCM starter, actor and Marine Lt. Col. Rob Riggle. The press brief will be held just two days prior to the 37th MCM on Sunday, Oct. 28. Read more.

37th MCM Weekend Spurs Excitement in Nation's Capital
The MCM is hosting an exhilarating weekend of events from Thursday, Oct. 25 through Sunday, Oct. 28 in Arlington, VA and Washington, D.C. The MCM will welcome the largest number of participants to date with 43,600 registered to run the MCM, MCM10K and Healthy Kids Fun Run, which are sold out events.

Actor Rob Riggle and Olympian Shalane Flanagan to Headline MCM Weekend
Actor, comedian and U.S. Marine Rob Riggle, known for his humorous film roles in “21 Jump Street,” “The Hangover,” and “Step Brothers,” and for his gig as comedy prognosticator on “Fox NFL Sunday,” will serve as an honorary starter of the 37th Marine Corps Marathon (MCM). An Emmy Award-nominated actor, Riggle is also a lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve. On Sunday, Oct. 28, Riggle will join 2012 Olympic Marathoner Shalane Flanagan at the MCM start line in Arlington, VA to launch 30,000 runners in “The People’s Marathon.”

MCM Opens Social Media Tracking Services
MCM participants and supporters can take advantage of enhanced technologies providing immediate updates on a runner's progress as well as valuable course navigation information for the 37th MCM on Sunday, Oct. 28. The MCM Track a Runner and the new Runner Broadcast Service are open for registration. The services are free and sponsored by MCM partner Nissan. For spectators, the new MCM Locator, a web-based application, provides distances to specific on-course sites, Metro wait times and pace-time based information.

National Geographic Channel's Rocket City Rednecks Test Their Latest Invention at 37th MCM
The Rocket City Rednecks have bombproofed a truck using beer cans in an effort to create armor for military vehicles and constructed a homemade hovercraft using a tarp from the garage. This October, they'll bring their unique mix of southern charm and advanced degrees to the 37th MCM in Washington, D.C., as Rocket City Rednecks star Dr. Travis Taylor runs the course wearing the Rednecks' latest invention.
