Customer Service Branch

The Customer Service Branch encompasses the Audit Section, Deployment Support TAD Section, Pay Section, and the Records Room (SRB/OQR). Below is a breakdown of the support provided by each section.

 

AUDITS SECTION:

  • Triennial Audits
  • Dependent Additions and Losses (Marriage packages, birth of child, etc.)
  • Reporting of Special Powers of Attorney (as required)
  • Who is required to have an active Special Power of Attorney?Reporting of awards (all except personal awards)
  • Reporting of approval/disapproval of transfer of Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits for enlisted members
  • What is required to transfer your Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits to your family member?
  • Meal card issuance and recovery for Marines not authorized BAS or for Marines recently authorized BAS (NOT NEWLY JOINED MARINES)
  • Reporting of Basic Allowance for Housing Own Right for Marines recently authorized to receive the entitlement
  • Verification of Local Records Checks
  • Statements of Service
  • Reporting of State and Federal Tax Exemptions

 

DEPLOYMENT SUPPORT/TAD SECTION:

  • Pre-/Post- Deployment Audits
  • Pre-/Post- TAD Excess Audits
  • Ensure both deployment and TAD entitlements are correct
  • Reconciliation of DTS travel claims for residual entitlements reporting
  • Focal point for reservist 30-day partial claims that need submission to MOBCOM
  • Processing of TAD Claims not utilized by DTS for submission to the local Disbursing Office DD1351-2
  • Attach and Detach of Marine Corps University (MCU) scheduled classes
  • Attach and Detach of scheduled annual USMC Promotion Board Members
  • Processing of field exercise entitlements (FIELD RATIONS)

 

PAY SECTION:

  • Processing of Special Duty Assignment (SDA) Pay, Proficiency Pay, Hazardous Duty Pay, and FLPP entitlements
  • Provides assistance to Service Members and Dependents in identifying pay issues
  • Submission and processing of Military Pay Orders (MPO) to Disbursing via DTMS
  • Career Status Bonus (CSB) processing
  • Issues MyPay Pin password reset assistance
  • Assistance with obtaining W2 and W2C
  • Provides printouts of LESs older than a year
  • Advance Pay/BAH processing
  • TSP Address updates/changes
  • Direct Deposit, Allotment, and Charity form processing
  • Waiver and Liquidation of Indebtness assistance/processing
  • Adoption expense reimbursement
  • CLRP Processing
