Residents and business owners affected by the storms and flooding that hit northwest Ohio Aug. 20-28 have until the end of the day Friday, Oct. 26, to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or to apply for a low-interest loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

FINDLAY, Ohio -- With two weeks until the deadline, state and federal disaster officials are concerned that some Ohioans affected by the August severe storms and floods might miss out on disaster assistance because they are waiting to receive an insurance settlement. "You need to register first, so we can start processing your application," said Federal Coordinating Officer Jesse Munoz of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). "When your settlement comes, you can call us back and we'll make the necessary adjustments in your paperwork.
FINDLAY, Ohio -- State and local officials, county agencies, and certain non-profit organizations in northwest Ohio have only two days left to submit a Request for Public Assistance (RPA) for federal assistance after the severe storms and flooding that hit the areas Aug. 20-28. The deadline to submit the one-page RPA is Oct. 11. The president?s disaster declaration, issued Aug. 27, designated seven counties eligible for public assistance: Allen, Crawford, Hancock, Hardin, Putnam, Richland, and Wyandot.
FINDLAY, Ohio -- A mitigation outreach team from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will return to the Findlay Lowe?s store for three days starting Friday, Oct. 12. The Lowe?s store is located at 1077 Bright Road, at Tiffin Avenue. FINDLAY, Ohio -- Grants and loans to help fund recovery efforts after the Aug. 20-28 storms and floods in northwest Ohio now total more than $25 million, state and federal emergency officials announced today. Nearly $13.2 million in federal funds has been approved to help 4,495 households pay for short-term emergency housing and basic repairs to help make primary residences livable again.
