    BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today wished North Dakota a happy birthday and encouraged citizens to commemorate the anniversary of the day in 1889 that North Dakota joined the Union as the 39th state. This year marks North Dakota’s 127th anniversary of statehood.

    BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today presented the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award to the family of Eugene Dahl, an entrepreneur and business leader who led the successful growth of several equipment manufacturing businesses in North Dakota, including Bobcat and Steiger, and was responsible for creating thousands of manufacturing jobs in the state. Dahl, who passed away in 2008, is the 43rd recipient of the award, the state’s highest commendation for its citizens.

    BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today joined other state, local and university officials in celebrating the grand opening of the new University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine and Health Sciences building in Grand Forks. The new facility will help meet the state’s needs for educating more physicians and health care professionals, enhancing health care delivery systems and advancing medical research.
