The Latvian delegation chief, Major Jānis Lāčaunieks, confers with the Irish delegation chief, Comdt. Les Boyle, during a delegation meeting over the status of Exercise Combined Endeavor 2014 as the initial setup phase begins to move into the operation phase later this week. The goal of Combined Endeavor is to foster stronger alliance and regional relations and security arrangements through C4 systems interoperability testing between NATO and Partnership for Peace nations’ strategic and tactical communication systems.

Twenty-nine nations and three international organizations participated in the Combined Endeavor Main Planning Conference. The conference deliverables assisted in designing a mission network that utilized an interoperable “bring your own devices model” and ensured the international coalition audience was able to participate. Ultimately, the mission network contributed toward constructing an exercise operational scenario across land, air and cyberspace domains.

U.S. relations with Ireland have long been based on common ancestral ties and shared values. During its 2004 EU presidency, Ireland worked to strengthen U.S.-EU ties that had been strained by the Iraq war.

MARSA, Malta (Nov. 17, 2010) - Leading Assistance and Rescue Officer Mark Zammit teaches a member of the Bulgarian Navy and Georgian Coast Guard how to wear personal protective equipment during hazardous material response training at the Civil Protection's Marine Unit Premises as part of Eurasia Partnership Capstone 2010 (EPC10). EPC is an annual maritime conference focused on working together in non-formal environments, such as seminars and workshops, aimed at increasing maritime safety and security. This year there are 103 participants from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and the United States.

More than 580 multinational service members from all across Kosovo gathered Oct. 10 at Camp Grand Danois, the Danish camp inside Camp Novo Selo, Mitrovica/Mitrovice, for the first of three Dancon Marches scheduled to be held this autumn.

Nearly 1,400 participants of more than 40 countries and organizations gathered at the Joint Multinational Simulations Center (JMSC) at Grafenwoehr Training Area for the U.S. European Command’s (EUCOM’s) exercise, Combined Endeavor 2010, the world’s largest military communications and information systems exercise, Sept. 2-16.
