We had a wonderful night with Pamela and Honeyboy. It's an awesome, clean house with a bed that I am very jealous of not having. We slept like a baby and were very sad to get up to leave for the sunrise. Driving up Haleakala with your CD "Here comes the sun" was just perfect. Thanks and Mahalo!
TimNovember 2015Pamela was the perfect host! Not only was her house roomy and pleasant to stay in, but is perfectly located for people that want to see the Haleakala State Park for sunrise (trip advisors #1 thing to do). I would highly suggest this listing to anyone going to Maui for any length of time.
GregDecember 2015Pamela is a very warmly host. Yes, she has many house rules, but those rules are quite reasonable and acceptable. If you just looking for a very comfy bed for crash, and leave early for heading see the sunrise in Haleakla mountain, this is a very good option. Honeyball is really sweet and loving people, and he seems very like me.
LiJanuary 2016Pamela (and her Friends) is the Host by excellence! The experience with this Host was very satisfying, answered all our needs and questions and was the most helpful! We found the property, the surrounding very beautiful and had a great time visiting. Thank you for your Hospitality and dedication!
SophieMarch 2016Pamela's place was nice, clean and cozy. It's amazingly well located if, like us, you're planning on going for the sunrise on Haleakala. Even though Pamela had told me it was OK using the kitchen just to warm some food up, she was extremely insisting in all communication for us to have dinner before coming, which I have to say I didn't appreciate much. We did eat before coming in the end, so I can't say what would have happened else. Everything was very good, the main issue you will encounter is that the cat's litter is in the bathroom, and, honestly, it stinks pretty badly. People with cats probably are used to the smell so they don't mind so much, but if like me you're not much into cats' litter odor, just be warned you'll need to deal with it during your short trips to the bathroom. I recommend staying with Pamela!
TheoJuly 2016Had a great stay here and made getting to the beautiful sunrise at Haleakalā National Park a much shorter trip.
KerrieJuly 2016Pamela's place is a nice comfy one. We stayed there only for a night and unfortunately she was sick so we couldn't interact too much but she made sure we were comfortably checked in even when she was unwell. It's a perfect spot if you want to visit the Haleakala crater early in the morning.
SanketMay 2016Pamela is a super friendly host. The home is beautiful, the room elegantly furnished. The view from the deck is spectacular on a clear night. We chose the crash pad specifically because we were going up to the summit of Haleakala the next morning. While most people are waking at 2am to make the 3 hour drive get to the sunrise, this was a cool 45 minutes up the mountain. Pamela gives a nice tour of the home and is very welcoming. Thank you!

The home is in a rural area just a little outside of Lahaina, a very quiet area, a block off the highway and from the beach. It has an old-beach-house feel, and is appropriate sized for 2 people. The kitchen has basic vacation furnishings and some thoughtful touches such as zip lock bags and a nice water-purifier-pitcher. There is a comfortable porch with washer/dryer, very much appreciated. Kind of Alex to offer use of snorkel, boogie board, cooler, beach towels, etc.
IreneSeptember 2016A lovely place across. The street from one of the best snorkeling Beaches on the island. Walking distance from a great breakfast& pie shop. 3 miles to Lahina what more could you ask for.
MarkOctober 2016Alex went out of his way to accommodate our needs to make our stay the best possible. His home was so delightful and comfy I could live there for ever. It was very clean, with everything set up that travelers could need (from sugar to coffee, etc.) and the house was very practical. Outdoor lanai was big and gorgeous and we spent so much time out that we only got to enjoy it at breakfast time. One of the closest beaches to Alex's place, Olawalu, walking distance from his place, has great snorkel and is a calm beach. The remote location added to the attraction for us, as we didn't have to see the loads of tourists that you get near the big hotel complexes. Tropical fruit and nature all around and mountain views, what more can you ask for?
JayantAugust 2016Alex was a fantastic host. He was very responsive both before and during our trip, and he gave us good tips about nearby places to eat, hike, and snorkel. He even left us an opened coconut and limes from his property one morning - really refreshing. The space was just as described, even a little bigger than I expected. It was really clean and well-stocked (all sorts of kitchen/beach beach supplies). It gets pretty warm during the day before the wind picks up, but there were ceiling fans in every room. It was a good home base to get everywhere (we could get to Lahaina in 10 minutes, Kihei in about 20, and Paia in 35 or so). Right across the street, there were uncrowded beaches where we went to swim/snorkel, and there were some larger beaches just down the street. AND I heard from someone else we met that during the winter it's an excellent spot to kayak and see whales migrating with their young. Thanks for a great stay, Alex!
ErinAugust 2016When we arrived our host gave us a proper welcome, going through the house and everything we needed to know about the place. The place was really laid back and the view of the mountains and natur surrounding it was just breathtaking! He was growing pineapples in the garden for gods sake?! And a bunch of other cool stuff. I mean, how awesome isn't that? The location was really great too, just 10 minutes from Lahaina with car, with a lot of stores and a beautiful harbour! Our host told us a lot about the area and what we could do while the stay, which was so helpful!! There was also snorkeling equipment, surfboards and beach-chairs (all you need on your vacation on Hawaii) We would recommend having a car on the island, it's so much easier to get around and see everything. The place was neat and had everything you needed. A living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Also an outdoor area with chairs, table and a hammock. All in all, everything was great and worked without any problems at all! We had an awesome host! Hope to come there again one day! / Emelie & Erika
EmelieAugust 2016Everything was as described in his listing. Very nice and clean.
KymAugust 2016This condo in East Maui was a great place to stay! Alex was awesome to communicate with- and has an obvious love of the island, with great recommendations to offer about things to do and places to visit. It is only about 10 minutes from Lahaina with great restaurants/ shopping, and also is located on a main road. Beach is walk-able across the road and is quaint. No AC in the unit, but as long as the windows and fans were open and on, the nights were comfortable. He let us borrow snorkel gear and beach chairs for free- there was also boogie boards and other beach things to use if you would like. We wound definitely stay again!
PatriciaAugust 2016Alex was a great host! He lives above the unit so it was nice to meet him in person to discuss the area and any recommendations he had. The unit itself is clean and bigger than we had expected. Our only issue here was the lack of privacy. Unfortunately, the curtains in the bedroom would blow open when the wind blew (no ac here so open windows were a must) so it was a bit uncomfortable when you're on ground level. house is right off highway and a beach is on the other side of it. The beach is awesome for snorkeling but unfortunately the road is so close to the shore that lounging on the sand wasn't an option for us because of the traffic noise. This is great for people looking to get away from the touristy spots and for those who would rather wake up from a rooster outside than an alarm clock! Loved that Alex provided snorkeling gear, boogey boards, and beach chairs!

Sally was extremely welcoming and I couldn't have more positive things to say about my stay. The room and the home is only the beginning to the wonderful experience! Filled with positive energy and loving animals, I can certainly say that this was a genuine part of my trip to Maui. Thank you so much, Sally! Wishing you only the best. Peace and love ~
HelenMay 2016Such a lovely stay at Sally's mountain retreat! Sally is a fantastic and accommodating host. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the house and grounds are also beautiful. A very convenient location to most of the island. Would definitely recommend! Best part - Luca the pup :)
AnnaSeptember 2016Sally was very sweet and helpful. The views are outstanding and pictures don't do it justice. I didn't see much of the neighborhood but the yard is large and secluded with a gate. The best part of the house is the morning breakfast on the lanai with the incredible views.
ElizabethJune 2016We only spent 1 night here, and we absolutely loved it! Wish I had been here longer. The room we got was basic, with everything we needed for one night. The scene was amazing. From the 2nd floor balcony, we could see the mountain and the sea, and it was a view not to be missed. There was also a pool that would probably be nice to enjoy. And a lot of spaces in general. Sally was very friendly and welcoming, even though we came late at 12am :) Thank you for a good stay Sally!
LinhMarch 2016This was the most amazing vacation experience my wife and I have ever had. This was also our first time to do the shared space option on AirBnB and I must say, Sally and Brian have it figured out. Half the time we didn't even know they were there, and when we were up for a little conversation they were very welcoming and warm. The lush scenery is breathtaking. The pool, UH MAY ZING. The lanai overlooked the Pacific and had a great outdoor futon that we used to take naps on. Sally's breakfast with homemade marmalades and fresh fruit from the property are the PERFECT way to ease into the day. We drank Hawaiian coffee out of Brian's pottery that we loved so much, we bought a pair of mugs to bring the Aloha spirit home. And every space is comfortable, homey, quiet and has a gorgeous view--any way you turn. Not to mention, Luca (the dog) and the two cats are just as sweet as can be. The beauty, peace, comfort and solitude of this place left us longing for more time in Maui. All of the 5-star reviews before us are all true and accurate, so I'll avoid being redundant. But this place is spectacular, and we will absolutely be back.
AlishaAugust 2015Sally was easy to work with and the view was amazing! It was cozy and quaint. Thank you Sally for your hospitality!
LaurenFebruary 2015Pamela's home is beautiful and tranquil. The saltwater is surrounded by jasmine, a delight to swim morning and evening. Breakfast was delicious. Pamela is as lovely as the environment she creates. I am looking forward to a return visit. This is a magical place on the beautiful island of Maui.
De Fracia July 2016I loved every minute of my stay and got to recharge my batteries in this quiet and beautiful spot! My plane to Maui arrived early in the day so Sally graciously let me check in a few hours early. Some highlights of my stay: * The serene atmosphere and gorgeous location facilitated a re-immersion into meditation and reflection * Breakfast on the lanai: being able to eat slowly while surrounded by nature helped me slow down. When you look out from the lanai, you see the ocean. When you look in the other direction, you see verdant hills. As a bonus, you can hear the Waihee river flowing below just outside the property! * Last but not least, the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. Sally and Brain were so easy to talk to and helped a lot with my planning of daily adventures in Maui. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet getaway in Maui that's not in the tourist hubs but is still close to civilization (~20 mins from Kahului). Cheers, Karthik

This was hands down one of my favorite vacation experiences ever. Zeoc and Jen have a gem of a place, perfect for a relaxing getaway but also to enjoy what Maui has to offer away from the resorts and crowds. The jungle cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay and is so breathtakingly beautiful. When we checked in we could not believe how amazing this piece of land was. Waking up in the morning to the view from the cottage and the sound of rain on the roof was incredible. Zeoc and Jen were so friendly and willing to share their home with us and teach us about their life on the farm. Their oldest son taught us how to milk their goats and gave us some milk to take back to the cottage... we really enjoyed that! This is a trip I'll never forget and we'll be back again for sure!
AmyApril 2016Zeoc and Jen were simply wonderful. They have built a beautiful farm/home for themselves and their children. They welcomed us in with open arms. We enjoyed the beautiful farm and gardens and got to play with a baby goat, a real highlight of our vacation. In addition, we really liked getting to know their children, who are wise and sweet and playful companions. The cottage was really cute. It's set in the middle of a really fantastic, relatively remote part of Maui.
JonahMay 2016Thank you for sharing your wonderful farm with us, Zeoc & Jen. Your place is inimitable and it was a great experience to spend these two nights “off”. All the best for you and your family. Alex
AlexanderDecember 2015I can not say enough good things about my experience with Zeoc, Jen and the kids. They are such a lovely, warm, fun family. I'm an avid camper, so I'm accustomed to roughing it a bit and I would say because of the mosquitoes, outdoor toilet and making your way around at night via flashlight you need to have at least a little knowledge of the outdoors. I loved the cottage! It was so perfectly decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is great and I loved the fact that they had running water to wash dishes, brush teeth, etc. The outdoor shower was amazing and has everything you'd need for a shower. Everything is set up perfectly for you to have a fantastic eco-friendly stay. My favorite part was spending time with the family and their friends eating meals together, laughing and getting to know each other. I would highly recommend this place for a couple or if you're interested in going for a few days alone like I did to gain a little quiet time and perspective. I give it two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
AliciaJanuary 2016Definitely one of our favorite airbnbs ever. A place I would give 6 stars if possible. Lush, amazing spot with an incredible view over trees. Lovely double level cottage that we made several meals in. Got to see the animals (chickens and goats), adorable cats and a dog, play ping pong, and pick vegetables in the garden for dinner. Truly amazing secluded feel. The owners were out but we were met by some farm sitters (Tyler and Rob) that were wonderfully warm and accommodating. Probably our favorite area of Maui, and a great way to check out the road to Hana in a relaxed way (it's impossible to do it in a day). It's a place you'll want to bring food to, and bring bug spray. Highly recommend.
RubyAugust 2016We stayed at the cottage on the way to Hana. Zeoc was very welcoming and understanding upon our early arrival. The farm is a pretty big space. He made sure that we know where things are. The cottage itself was cute and rustic. It had everything that you need (simple kitchen downstairs and attic style bedroom upstairs. outside shower even had shampoo/conditioner/shower gel). we enjoyed watching remote lightening over the ocean at night. be aware of mosquitos! The bug spray and repellent didn't do much, but well ..mosquitos were everywhere in maui island. The unusual weather created high heat and prevent us from sleeping. so we had to leave the cottage early. However, we were informed that it's very unusual in Hana. Zeoc was really down to earth and informative about his farm. I could tell that he really cares about the sustainable lifestyle that his family is pursuing (despite it is not easy sometimes due to our mannerism with easy/fast modern lifestyle). I would recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and experience something different.
jiyunSeptember 2015Amazing location and beautiful surroundings for this room. Very peaceful and relaxing. Jen and Zeoc were great hosts and kept us updated on local events that were great to be a part of. We're sorry we didn't get the full guided tour of the farm, there's so much to see and do in the area we just wished we had more time!
GenFebruary 2016Super inspiring farm in the jungle. If you are looking for a unique experience you will never forget, this is the place to walk away from with some incredible memories. The family is very friendly and so are the farm workers! We love this place an plan on being back for for a longer amount of time. Clean, creative and kind.

I had the best time in Maui! Summers place is peaceful and accessible. I had a good nights sleep al 3 nights and felt at home while wandering around the island. My room is a good size, with occasional cat visitors :) Summer showed me how to crack open a macadamia nut which was very interesting. I'm definitely coming back soon! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
IssaJune 2016Summer greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the room/bathroom/kitchen. The room is her sons room while he is not at home, but it was lovely and clean with enough space for our stuff. Summer was very accommodating; and had provided us with basic amenities for our stay, and a lot of information leaflets about Maui and sightseeing etc, which we found very useful. She was also very helpful with offering us her tips and advice about the local area and the island! We were provided with a key so we had plenty of freedom to come and go as required, as well as enough privacy. We did have to share the bathroom with one of Summer's cats, but it was always kept clean. Overall, Summer is a great host and we enjoyed our stay! :-)
RuthMay 2016I had a wonderful stay at Summer's place! She and her family were very hospitable; very welcoming in the evenings, while also respectful of privacy. The bedroom and bathroom were exactly what I was looking for during my weekend stay. Good central location on Maui--it's easy to drive throughout Upcountry, while still close to Kahului. Highly recommended, thank you and mahalo!
HeatherSeptember 2016You are searching for the perfect place to stay on Maui - stay at Summers house. The location in Pukalani is great to explore the whole island. The vulcano is near by. The road to Hana is close and all the beaches are only a short car drive away. Sierra and her Mum are great hosts - they made our stay on the island even more special. We are travelling for a while and coming to their house felt like coming home. The room is nothing special but you have your own bathroom. And you will only sleep in there since you are on Maui and there is basically no point in staying inside :-)
JanaApril 2016Very nice accommodations and access/ use of kitchen to prepare my own meals. Location ideal for travel to all areas of island. Good place to relax, read, enjoy upcountry climate. Nearby access to public park with lap pool, and Foodland supermarket & Starbucks - all within walking distance of location. Use of washer/dryer a plus.
jimOctober 2015The house was just as described and presented in photos. What couldn't be seen was the friendly, positive, attentive attitude of the host. Tour book and info was available; kitchen was clean and well-equipped and the host offered some of her food for us to use; bed was firm to our liking!!! We were trusted to be in the house alone and we appreciated being able to come and go freely. Centrally located on island to the places we wanted to see. We recommend it highly.
MiriamMarch 2016Summer's place was very tidy, cozy, and comfortable. My dad and I enjoyed our stay very much. Besides plenty of breakfast choices, Summer offered us great suggestions on planning our trip in Maui. It was a real pleasure that we had a chance to talk with Summer and share our thoughts. Also Marshmallow and her sister were cutest cats we've ever seen! Thank you Summer for making this stay such a great one!

Beyond impressed- this condo was the perfect choice! The view and location were exactly what my husband and I were hoping for. The complex was peaceful and everyone we ran into was very friendly. Robert was an amazing host, easy to reach although we hardly had to- everything was easily accessible and clearly outlined in the provided instructions. He was even willing to accommodate a late check out the day of our flight which was super convenient! The condo is within a 5 min walk to great restaurants, shopping, the Maui Ocean Center and Maalea Harbor (the departure point for my dive tour). We were able to observe sea turtles right from the lanai/balcony, and the gear that Robert had on hand saved us a ton of time and money on rentals. I would definitely recommend to my family/friends, and hope to stay again in the future!
JenniferSeptember 2016I definitely recommend staying here! This condo (as well as the town of Maalaea) was a great place to stay and Robert was an accommodating host. The condo itself was a good size for two and the view of the ocean was lovely. One of the best things was the ocean breeze blowing through all the time. It was very pleasant to sit on the lanai in the early morning or evening and watch the waves on the small beach. The condo has many amenities including a some dry goods in the kitchen, condiments and such in the refrigerator, and a few toiletries in the bathroom. Robert also has snorkel gear and beach towels and chairs available. We actually did snorkel a little in the little cove just outside the condo and there were plenty of fish to see there, as well as sea turtles on the other side of the sea wall! Maalaea is a very quiet town which was exactly what we were looking for. There is a general store in walking distance (~5 minutes) perfect for picking up breakfast/snacks/a few essentials. We did go to dinner in the Kihei/Wailea area (~25 minute drive), which are more popular places to stay but preferred Maalaea for the quietness and the ocean breezes which didn't seem to be present in the huge Wailea resorts. Maalaea is also the place where many snorkel/ fishing/ eco-tour boats leave from, so it was extra-convenient to just walk out of the condo to the dock for our early-a.m. snorkel boat tour. The location was also great as you can access any part of Maui from here, we did things all over the island, including the drive to Hana and nothing was too far away. You can't really go wrong choosing this place. The condo itself is great and the location is excellent.
ElenaJuly 2016Robert was a wonderful host. He provided detailed directions to the condo, as well as accessing the apartment. The condo has a pool, but is just minutes from the marina, and a beautiful beach. The condo is well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and everything else to make your stay comfortable. There is a huge TV, along with satellite service. There is no air conditioning in the condo, but fans helped to move the air around and make the nights comfortable. The Condo is located within driving distance to Lahaina, Kahului and Kehei. The Maui Ocean Center is practically steps from the condo (which is a great place to visit many times).
LeanneAugust 2014We had a wonderful experience at Robert's condo in Maalaea. Robert was very quick to reply to every inquiry and had everything all set up for our arrival. During the stay we wanted to let him know the tub drain was slow...but not any sort of emergency. Still, he had it fixed before we returned to the condo that night. When we needed a couple extra hours because our flight was not leaving until 4:20, he graciously gave us a couple extra hours so we could enjoy the morning on the beach. Robert really helped make our experience terrific! The condo is exactly as it appears in the pictures. It is very clean and comfortable - a perfect retreat for 2. Plenty of couch space, though, if you have a kiddo along. It is an end unit, so we never heard another resident the entire time. The pool is lovely and the grills a nice plus. Public beach is just a minute down the quiet road. A small beach for young ones in the protected harbor is out the back door (that is the one in the picture - saw plenty of parents and young ones there). Parking is a breeze and included. The location is not in any resort area, but it is only 15 minutes to the airport, 20 minutes from Laihina, 15 to Kihei, 25 to Wailea. Want to take the road to Hana? You're on the Hana Highway in 10 minutes. Heading upcountry? Again- under 30 minutes. Several restaurants within walking distance as well. Want to watch the sunset? At least in summer - it is only a 5 minute drive to a nice vista point. Taking a boat excursion? You can easily walk to the harbor. Any drawbacks? The condo was a little warm a couple days when the wind direction wasn't creating a breeze through the condo. The AC unit is just designed to keep the living room/kitchen area cool. He does have a nice tower fan in the bedroom to help. But these are the tropics. Warm is what we expected. It really wasn't even an issue after the second day when we acclimated. The condo was fully equipped for fun in the Hawaiian sun. Boogie Boards (2), Snorkeling equipment (3), beach towels, beach chairs (2), beach umbrellas - all there. Cooler? Check! Ice packs? Yep. Plenty of "leftover" items in the fridge, too, that may vary from time to time depending on what is left behind. There is even a dishwasher if you are really feeling like doing a lot of "in condo" eating. Kitchen is fully equipped. We had no problems at all with security - the building was well locked. Even then, nothing even caused us to be concerned. This was our first Airbnb experience. If this is any indication, we will definitely be repeat customers. Thanks for a great week, Robert(URL HIDDEN)
AlitaJune 2015Robert was very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the welcome gifts. The onsite manager was friendly and helpful at every turn. The unit was quite beautiful. We enjoyed the oceanview every morning. The furntiure throughout the unit was attractive and very comfortable - especailly the King size bed. We enjoyed the neighborhood and easily walked to dinner on several occasions. Thank you so much for a wonderful introduction to Maui.
RobertJuly 2014We had a great stay. Great central location. Close to everything we wanted to see and do. We were able to walk to the dive shop and the aquarium. The room was clean, had many amenities ( snorkeling gear, boogy boards, beach towels, cooler). The kitchen was nicely stocked too. Would stay here again for sure.
MarySeptember 2015We just spent two weeks in this condo and it was a great experience! Check in was easy and the rules were very clear and reasonable. Robert responded quickly to our questions. The view from the living area and balcony was picturesque. The area around the condo was quiet with a nice beach about 1/2 mile away. The location was great because it was close enough to Lahaina and Kihei to go for dinner or the beach or just to walk around. Pros: Great location, great views from the condo, easy check in/out, had everything we needed for the beach. Cons: It gets quite hot during the day and the A/C unit wasn't always enough to keep the living area comfortable. The bedroom was usually very hot when we were going to bed even with windows open. Summary: This was our first experience with airbnb and we were very happy with this condo. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants a quieter area to stay and a kitchen to do some of your own cooking.
JoelAugust 2015Robert was an excellent host. We were greeted with some Hawaiian goodies and a beautiful condo. Being right on the water was important to us, and not only was it perfect for what we wanted to do as far as water sports, it is really centrally located. We were able to drive easily to the northern and southern parts of the island. It was close to the airport, close to a great little grocery store that had everything we needed (when I say close, I mean like 50 steps close). The building manager was nice, the kitchen was nicely equipped, and the bed comfortable. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we would recommend it highly.

Like most of Teri's AirBnB guests I arrived late on Maui from a mainland flight. Teri made me feel welcome immediately by greeting me at the door and inviting me in. The house is meticulous, beautiful, and in a fantastic location. It is in a very tranquil neighborhood about a 7 minute walk from downtown Paia. Teri has extensive knowledge of the island as she has been living there for over 30 years and she enjoys sharing it. We had some great conversations, which turned this stay into the most sociable stay that I have had with AirBnB reservations.
NicSeptember 2016Staying with Teri was great! Her home is very clean and nicely located within walking distance to Paia. She was also very accommodating, pleasant to talk to, and full of suggestions of things to do and see. Highly recommended!
JonathanJune 2016Teri was a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming. Room was exactly as described. The interior decor is lovely and shows real attention to detail, and the back porch and front garden are very nice as well. The view from the front yard, with the garden and mountains and ocean in the background, and a gentle breeze, is a great way to start the day. Teri was also very friendly and easygoing, we had some nice talks, and she was helpful sharing info about local places to eat and things to see. Would definitely return in the future.
DanielJune 2016Teri was an amazing host; she made me feel incredibly welcome and also gave me my space to enjoy my vacation. She is a wonderful conversationalist and has lots of information about Maui as she's been living on the island for years. Her home is incredibly clean, and well organized--the space has great energy. The location is amazing! Just a 10 min walk to downtown Paia and 1 mile to the beach. I will definitely stay with Teri again next time I'm back in Maui. One of my best AirBnB experiences!
MacKenzieAugust 2016Teri is an amazing host - sensitive, kind & thoughtful. She has thought of everything and I mean everything to make your stay a memorable one. Her home is exactly as described and as seen in the pictures, immaculate and tastefully decorated. My personal favourite was the pond & water feature at the front of the house, you can hear the water from the lounge, a blissful way to start my mornings.
SingSeptember 2016My stay at Teri's house was absolutely amazing. Teri is a wonderful person and a great host. The house is exactly like on the pictures and as described. I had my own bedroom, bathroom and space in the fridge and kitchen cupboard were provided. Above all everything was very clean. Also Teri had very good inputs of things to do. l can highly recommend her place to stay!!!
SimoneJuly 2016Teri is very personable. She was kind and generous to make sure I was comfortable with my stay and my outings. The house is extremely clean and in a nice neighborhood. There was no pressure to be sociable. She was interactive and engaging when I approached her. A very lovely person and a lovely place to stay!
AprilSeptember 2016I had a great time at Teri's (URL HIDDEN) was very clean, comfortable, private and thanks to Teri, I felt like home. The location is perfect...close to Paia town center, very quite and secure. I left my windsurfing gear in the car on the street over night and didn't worry about it. And the host...Teri is a special person that you can engage in deep conversations as well as sit in silence in the living room doing your own thing without feeling awkward at all. Thank you again Teri for such a nice place and your company. I know where I'd stay next time in Maui. Mahalo Hakan

I came out to Hawaii dreaming to surf, with no prior experience, over 6 weeks in June and July. Farida did everything she could to make it happen! She gave me a personal surf lesson, allowed me access to her boards, and chatted with me about my progress daily. She could also be a tour guide with endless hiking, camping, restaurant, bar, and beach knowledge. If I needed anything, she went above and beyond, as a very caring person. I enjoyed getting to know the other roommates and found that most things were easily drivable during a day trip from her place in Kahului.
RyanJuly 2015Faridas place was awesome, couldn't have had a better host or place to stay at during our stay. Pictures of the room were accutrate. Rest of house was also really nice. Stayed for about a month and became good friends with both host and the other tenants. If we come back to Maui, we will defeintely stay here again. Farida was super friendly and helpful with everything. Gave lots of advice on what to see, eat and do. Even let us borrow her camping equipment when we went on a camping trip over the weekend to Hana. Even when we had moved out of the house to another place she invited us for dinner at her place, amazing!
AndreasNovember 2015The house is in the most upscale community in Kahului. Very beautiful landscaping, modern, and safe. Mostly families, quiet, and great for running, as it is by the golf course and away from heavy traffic. The interior of the house exhibits modern deco, with all living and kitchen appliances that could be needed. Beautifully styled. The room is comfortable, with full-size bed, drawers, hangers, spacious desk, and cushioned chair and fan. Easily feels homey. Does get really really hot as it is upstairs. Farida is really helpful and accommodating, going out of her way to supply maps and the best beaches, foods, and directions to local spots. Also offered to surf trips, tours to local spots, and access to events on her days off. Really sweet! There are three dogs that are in and out of the house, so dog hair does get everywhere and cleanliness is a bit of an issue, especially downstairs. Lots of ants in the kitchen, especially in the sink, trash, stove area. Shared bathroom/shower also could have been cleaner. Carpets had a lot of dirt stains. These were the only negatives in terms of aesthetics. Farida was a gracious host - she went out of her way to grant my requests and plan wonderful fancy homemade house dinners! Sushi + ahi steak, fun experience. And her tenants were all kind and gracious. Love the neighborhood, the area, and the house. Books, movies, flat screen TV with appleTV. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Maui!
ChristinaOctober 2015We stayed at farida's wonderful home for a month in November and enjoyed every minute. farida is a lovely host. she was really helpful with everything we needed, wanted to do or were looking for. when she had a day of from work we enjoyed spending time with her a lot. The house is located perfectly for kite surfing, surfing, going out, shopping, whale watching or snorkeling tours. We were even able to rent a car from here for an amazing good price! To sum up, we enjoyed our stay on maui with farida very much and would recommend it to everyone!
WenckeNovember 2014My fiancé and I moved to Maui with our dog and stayed at Farida's place for our first month. If we had the chance, we would do it all over again! Centrally located in Kahului, we were easily able to explore all over the island. Grocery stores are 10 minutes away and so is your nearest adventure! Farida was very kind and accommodating and she knows the island well. She told us the best stops and everything to look for that others might miss! She even took us to a reggae concert, to an amazing sushi restaurant, and out for our first surfing lesson! Thanks for a great stay and for making our first month on the island incredible!
KristenOctober 2016Farida was a gracious and giving host! She went out of her way to accommodate us and help us feel at home. From renting us a car to providing us with beach chairs to telling us about her favorite hikes, we really appreciated her guidance and generosity. If it's your first time staying in Maui and you expect to be a walk away to the beach, Kahului, isn't necessarily the place - you may be happier in Kihei - but what Kahului offers is its central location. It's quick and easy to get over to Kihei or up to Paia and the neighborhood is safe and convenient. Thank you Farida for hosting us!
TeresaApril 2016As soon as me and my bestfriend arrived farida was there to pick us up at the airport and show us around the neighborhood. We stayed in kahului witch is a very central town to have acess to both sides of the island. Farida did her best to include us in plans and show us around the island, she even tried teaching me how to surf which i failed miserably at. Another thing that was super cool was farida had everything you needed and was willing to let you use it, things like tents, sleeping bags, surf boards, you name she has it. So overall it was an amazing stay and farida was a great host i reccomend staying with here and with her forsure.
BrookeJuly 2016The place was spacious and Farida was very accommodating. I would say in general it was exactly as described.

Good clean place on the beginning of the road to Hana. A little bit off the road but easy to get to.
NathanOctober 2015Nancy was very friendly and greeted me when I arrived at her house, showed me around and where to park, you basically have the whole back of her house to yourself, all the furniture in the place is insainly beautiful wood items which I loved. And just a short walk down the end of her street you have views of the sunrise that rival any I have seen before. Being in the rainforest it is a lot cooler than down in the city also which made the summer nights delightful. Highly recommend!
ShaunAugust 2015Nancy made us feel very welcome and comfortable. This is a somewhat remote location and very quiet, and quite simple which suited us just fine. Cooking facilities are very limited but adequate. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated access to WiFi. Homemade tables showed great craftmanship. Surrounded by bush this is a very restful, private spot with a tiny view of the ocean. We enjoyed the steep climb down to the beach at the end of the road, and an enjoyable visit with a local family. Access to the suite is great.
RossMay 2016Nancy and John were great hosts and were very helpful from the beginning. We really liked the studio. It's very spacious and simple and contained everything we need! The small kitchen on the porch allowed us to prepare simple meals and breakfast, which we enjoyed. We would stay there again.
MichaelaOctober 2016Thank you so much for giving us a wonderfulplace to stay in Maui. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful room. We loved and enjoy the recommendation that Nancy and her husbands gave us . We hope to be back again. Only a little pity that her dog is too shy to have fun ,haha. Thank you so much Nancy:-)
liboOctober 2015This abode was a wonderful beginning to our stay in Maui. With beautiful ocean views at dawn, to starry skies at night this gateway to the Road to Hana is an excellent choice. Our hosts were helpful in many ways, from planning tips and local knowledge. Sipping local coffee on the balcony and listening to the song birds of paradise was a regular morning occurrence and an ideal backdrop to decide how and when top discover the glory and hidden gems of Hana and the North Shore of Maui. Away from the traffic and off the beaten path, the stars and the scenery made our stay special.
JoyJanuary 2015We were very happy when Nancy approved our request for a short stay on little notice. Responses were quick and we were greeted and given a nice little tour of the place. It is a large space with everything you need. The outdoor kitchenette with view of the ocean and lush yard is especially nice. We also enjoyed the location, which is off the beaten path but also within a short drive of many great spots to explore, especially if you want a break from the dry intense heat and sun of other parts of the island. Thank you Nancy for having us!
marnieMarch 2016The room is large and clean. However, there is no the advertised view as listed on the description. In the room it's possible to see a little bit of ocean, but not the cliff view.

You can drive the road to Hana and back in a day, but you would be doing yourself a disservice by not stopping and spending at least a night in Hana. Especially because most people do seem to drive it in the day, so you get to have this lovely serene town and beaches mostly to yourself in the evening and morning. And Dale's place was a wonderful place to stay here, only minutes from central Hana. (Maybe 1-2 minutes by car from the general store.) You can tell Dale put a lot of attention and care into stocking and furnishing the apartment and it made for a comfortable, lovely stay. It's also on his property and he nicely offered the option to wander the property and pick fruit from his trees. I hope to make it to Maui again someday and I would love to stay here again if I do.
MistiJune 2016Got a lot of bug bites here. Were put in some different room than the studio suite pictured. Lacked the amenities advertised- no kitchen, no private lanai. Noisy from the people living in the next room. Beware of the bait-and-switch.
AnnOctober 2016This place completely exceeded our expectations! Huge thank you to Dale for being such a great host and really providing beyond the expected amenities. The folder of information for surrounding spots/restaurants, the fresh eggs, and bathroom full of toiletries. The toilet paper was handcrafted into a toilet paper rose if that gives you any indication of the hospitality, haha! Would definitely stay here again if we were visit Hana again!
StephanieOctober 2016The room was lovely and overlooked a pretty garden. All was clean and beautifully decorated and exceeded our expectations. This was a great place to spend the night in Hana. We got up early before the crowds arrived and had a walk up breakfast at the beach, then on to the famous pools. Dale was cordial and made us feel very welcomed. This was a great value.
HollyMay 2016Dale and his wife greeted us warmly. They gave us a dozen fresh chicken eggs from their backyard chickens, and a fresh lime from their trees! The studio apartment is equipped with every possible amenity and convenience. Dale told us about a local pizza dinner that we immediately took advantage of...and we enjoyed ourselves a great deal.
RebeccaJuly 2016Our stay in Hana was truly heavenly. Dale provided excellent directions, he greeted us on arrival and gave us tips regarding the area around Hana. The studio apartment is beautiful, clean and light and airy. We had dinner on the back deck overlooking a lovely tropical garden with romantic lights. The king bed is comfortable with luxurious sheets. With all the screened windows, we did not require air conditioning although it is available. Dale pays attention to detail and it adds up to a wonderful stay. There was coffee and creamer provided and a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is very nice with a strong shower. We hope to return and spend more than one night. It would have been fun to use the beach and snorkel equipment that is also provided. There is a lot to see and do in the area.
RebeccaOctober 2016As we drove up Dale was waiting to welcome us. Our stay At Hana Heavenly Paradise was amazing. The room and eminities were top rate. We truly felt like we were home away from home, only in paradise. The host (Dale and family) greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to visit with us, answering all our questions and showing us all the room had to offer and how to operate the many technical comforts. The location was at the mouth of Hana, only minutes from the beach and dining. Everything was as described. We recommend Hana Heavely Paradise. You won't be disappointed!
deborahAugust 2016We loved the studio apartment which we spent one night of our honeymoon. In fact it was so nice that we regretted not having planned for more nights in Hana. The studio had a very high standard and Dale the host had put a lot of effort in the details. E.g lots of different teas, pencils, colorbooks, nice soaps. The garden was also beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening watching the stars. We would definetly stay at this place again if going back to Hana.

Maui,
I didnt saw Clare, the boat was there, not realy clean, no electricity, no lights, but close to the city Kaunakakai.
Louis-PhilippeAugust 2015Both the boat and Clare were wonderful. Clare made me feel very welcome and I'm sure would have provided me with more info and suggestions had I asked. The boat was exactly what I was looking for - kind of funky, dirt cheap, close to town, and very comfy. Getting on and off the boat is not for the infirm or wobbly. And it certainly isn't perfect if you make a nightly trip or two to the little girls' room. But for my needs and wants, it was great and I would definitely go back. Thanks!
BillJanuary 2015This boat is fun to stay on. The stars were beautiful and it was the perfect low-key place to stay. Easy access to everything on the island. We even enjoyed working on the boat. We did sanding and varnishing in the evening and while we were working we were able to meet and chat with a lot of different people which was fun. The only drawback was there is a transient population which hangs out at the harbor and uses the public restrooms/showers.
NikkiMay 2015I had an excellent stay on Clare's boat. There's something about sleeping on the water and being around the ocean in general, the sound and motion of the waves soothes and washes away life's tensions and worries. It's the perfect antidote to big city life. Clare is a lovely person and extremely nice. She didn't even ask me to do the work on the boat that was supposedly part of the deal. I'm also very thankful for the friendliness of the other people there at the marina. Thanks again Clare and I wish you the best with your non-profit endeavor.
DaveMarch 2015The stay in Clare's boat was great and unique. I enjoyed the experience on Molokai and highly recommend doing the Damien Tours...she kindly helped me set this up with last minute notice!
MasonMarch 2015Great to be back on Hoa Hele! Folks have done nice work cleaning. (A vacuum would help with some difficult areas.) The person who scrubbed the hull clean did amazing good work! Nice to have the cockpit and sink drain again!!! Varnished wood looks great, too. We got the hinges back on the cabin ceiling hatches and treated some of the weathered wood with wood hardener. Sparrows are looking to start their next nest in the outboard motor again! Beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stars, as always. Exciting wharf life. Polynesian voyaging canoe Hikianalia came in for a one-week visit. Mysterious night heron every night, and waters occasionally boiling with schools of fishes. Great place to be, Hoa Hele.
Karl and MaiaFebruary 2016Great place for a cheap stay. Molokai is amazing, an the boat is so close to downtown, and located in the middle of the island, so easy access to both east and west sides!
Iona August 2016Clare made me welcome through her email and dropping by to visit me at the boat. I caught some pretty bad weather for a few days so her visits were appreciated. The warf area was well lighted and had a steady stream of traffic but this wasn't really an issue as the boat buffered the sound and lights.

Priscillas flat was as beautifull and well furnished as I expected. Everything perfect and efficient. Molokai is a marvellous island if you're sort of looking for the real Hawaii but a car is a must - especially to reach the flat and any shopping you might need to do. Bring good books and dvd's as the only entertainmet is the fantastic beach and yourself.
AnnetteJanuary 2015I very much enjoyed staying at this extraordinary place. It is ideal for those looking for relaxed vacations in unspoiled nature: long, hardly visited beaches, tarmac roads for cycling tours and hike paths. The condo is well equipped and nicely done up. All in all, a wonderful place for those who like to spend some time “farther off the beaten path”.
HeidiFebruary 2015Priscilla's place is not for everyone; we stayed at this abandoned holiday resort for five nights looking for seclusion and tranquility, which we found. The western shore of Molokai was once inhabited with a bunch of western oriented holiday resorts, aimed at entertaining affluent tourists. The resort's proprietors left the premises in the early 2000's, and while some general maintenance and management are still in place today, the Kepuhi beach resort may look and feel to some like the scene from an apocalyptic movie. Having said that, we truly enjoyed this surreal setting that comes with a handful of secluded beaches and beautiful views. Priscilla's place was very well kept, yet smelled a bit stuffy and the interior was a little dated. The place comes well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and plenty of ice cube trays ;-) We had sufficient towels for the week and the bathroom cupboard was stacked with insect repellant, sunscreen and aloe vera. The walls of the place are very thin; in case of loud neighbors the place can get a tad noisy. While the locals didn't speak very highly of the west shore, we truly enjoyed our proximity to Manahalo and some of the best beaches that the island has to offer. You will definitely need the convenience of having a rental car at your disposal as the island's main attraction are somewhat dispersed. Parking is free however, and the roads are well kept. The abandoned resort is now rife with harmless wildlife such as wild turkeys, exotic birds, Indian deer and the occasional wild dog. The surrounding beaches come with rather wild surf and should be advised against swimming. One of the more accessible pieces of ocean that we learned some of the locals swam in were located at Dixie Maru beach. Also the resort's swimming pool is in good condition. We thank Priscilla and her fiancé for offering this unique experience that catered well to our needs during our stay in lovely Molokai!
JeanineJuly 2015Great Accomodations - really enjoyable stay!
AliceJanuary 2015With remote properties, sometimes the host is still on the mainland, but the code for the key box worked just fine and the key for the van (which we rented separately) was in the prearranged spot inside the condo. The room is pleasant, with large louvered vents on the east (generally upwind) side and screens in and around the west sliding doors provide ample ventilation. The absence of air conditioners makes the entire resort blissfully quiet, I made recordings of the surf and birdsong to use later for my alarm app. Seriously, the only sounds in the morning were natural, with only an occasional aircraft flying high overhead. No traffic, no machinery, no music, no bustle, just... peace. We didn't really miss the A/C thanks to the cool December trade winds. The beach is about 1000 feet away, close enough to easily walk to, far enough to reduce the surf to a pleasant backdrop. Up close the surf can truly boom with waves breaking simultaneously along a long stretch. I'm sure I broke some rules by hand-feeding bits of bread to a peacock on the patio. The full size bed is a bit swaybacked and cramped for middle aged folks, a firm queen size mattress would be an improvement.
