On behalf of the DHS Center, Dr. Jannah Scott guides the engagement of faith-based and community groups on issues of emergency preparedness, community resilience, incident response, immigration and other issues within Homeland Security. Jannah serves on several national government committees, to ensure inclusion of faith-based perspectives, including the White House National Security Council’s Community Partnerships Committee; National Engagement Task Force; DHS National Resilience Integration Committee, DHS Working Group on Countering Violent Extremism and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Policy Committee. Jannah received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and an honorary doctorate from Gateway International Bible Institute. She is mother of five men and women, and Grandma to nine grandchildren.
