GySgt Olivarez retires after 20 years of service
The Electronics Fundamental Training Section Officer-in-Charge, Captain Kyle Shoemaker, and the Alpha Company First Sergeant, Robert Ashby, retire Basic Electronics Course instructor Gunnery Sergeant Diego Olivarez during a ceremony on 10 June, 2016 at Heritage Park. Gunnery Sergeant Olivarez faithfully served the Marine Corps for 20 years.

SSgt Beaton, a Marine of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Advanced Training Center (EODATC), recently qualified as a Marine Corps Communication Electronics School Basic Instructor. The Marine received certificates from the EODATC Director in recognition of his accomplishment.

Marines of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Advanced Training Center (EODATC) recently provided instruction and practical application to EOD Technicians of the United States Air Force on the M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS). The SASS is a key tool utilized in standoff munitions disruption (SMUD) operations.

Digital Wideband Repair Course Receives Refurbished Equipment
Refurbished Tropospheric Scatter Microwave Radio Terminals are being delivered on August 10th, 2016 to the Digital Wideband Repair Course as part of the Marine Corps Enterprise Lifecycle Maintenance Planning Program. These AN/TRC-170 systems will ensure the course has operational systems to train its future 2831 Military Occupational Specialty Marines.
To train Marines in ground electronics maintenance, tactical communications, and air control/anti-air warfare operations and maintenance in order to ensure that Marine commanders at all levels have the ability to exercise command and control across the full range of military operations.
