Students registered for this course must have a security investigation initiated and have on hand at TD1 a certificate of completion for the DoD Cyber Awareness Challenge (MCI Course DODCAC1000) in order to gain access to the local network. If a security investigation has not been at a minimum initiated, the student will be subject to disenrollment from the course.
Phase 1- Students receive orientation. Students receive Train the Trainer instruction to include creating and performing a guided discussion evaluated by the course instructors.
Phase 2- Students receive instruction on Marine Corps publications.
Phase 3- Students receive instruction on Global Combat Support Systems Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), modification program and shop level maintenance management.
Phase 4- Students receive instruction on tool room management and on the use of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Phase 5- Students receive instruction on electrical system principles, schematics, component failure, charging and starting systems and onboard diagnostic troubleshooting.
Phase 6- Students receive instruction on diesel engines, components and sub-systems. Students disassemble, reassemble and tune engine.
Phase 7- Students receive instruction on hydraulic system principles, accumulators, pumps, motors, valves and types of hydraulic systems.
Phase 8- Students receive instruction on power trains system principles, torque converters, axles and transmissions.
Phase 9- Students receive instruction on air conditioning systems principles.
