Project Description:   This project will conduct field evaluations using pedestrians to the effectiveness of adding a flashing DON’T WALK symbol to pedestrian countdown signals and the ability of those with low vision to comprehend and detect such symbols.
Goals:  
To provide empirical evidence of the effectiveness of adding a flashing DON’T WALK symbol to pedestrian countdown signals and the ability of those with low vision to comprehend and detect such symbols.
