Project detail
Roadmap/Focus area(s):   Infrastructure Research and Technology Strategic Plan and Roadmap
Project Description:   Develop guide performance specifications for jointed plain concrete pavement (JPCP) once outcomes from related studies are completed.
Goals:
Further develop and field validate performance-related specifications for both asphalt and concrete pavements. This effort is intended to build off earlier Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) projects and the State Highway Research Program (SHRP) 2 R07 project, which focuses on performance-related specification. The objectives will be based on the outcomes from the hot-mix asphalt (HMA) (FHWA-PROJ-08-0002) and jointed plain concrete pavement (JPCP) (FHWA-PROJ-O8-0043) studies. It will address some of the gaps identified as the products of SHRP2 R07 move into implementation.
