Research Business Opportunities

The Department's Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) invests in scientific research leading to the development of new and innovative technologies. Technologies are developed and transitioned by the Directorate to enhance the mission capabilities of its customers.

Customers include Department components and federal, state, county, city, tribal, and territorial first responders. The information below explains different ways to do business with the S&T Directorate and Department. We are delighted to speak with you if you believe you can bring us a technology that meets a customer requirement.

Doing Business with the Department

Department of Homeland Security contracting resources are available to those interested in doing business with the Department. If you have not done business with the federal government before, you MUST register in System for Award Management (SAM) database.

Selling Products or Services to the Department

The S&T Directorate invests in research leading to the development of new technologies, not current acquisitions for Department components. If you already have technology products or services that are on the market and ready to go now, we encourage you to identify and bid on current acquisition opportunities.
