Carrier Compliance

The primary responsibilities for the Carrier Compliance section are: 

  • To promote the safe and efficient movement of goods and people; and,
  • To protect Yukon's highway infrastructure.

This unit enforces Yukon and Federal legislation applicable to the commercial transportation industry. Carrier Compliance also administers transport permits, conducts mechanical and driver inspections, and undertakes mobile weight, dimensions, and commercial driver hours of service enforcement activities throughout the Yukon.
