Force Headquarters Group

U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve
Mission
Under the operational control of the Commanding General, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, the Deployment Processing Command / Reserve Support Unit -- East (DPC/RSU-East) supports the Commandant of the Marine Corps responsibility to mobilize and provide Reserve Component individuals and units to the combatant commanders, Marine Forces, Headquarters Marine Corps, and the Supporting Establishment in order to augment and reinforce the Active Component of the Marine Corps during contingency operations, crises, or other tasks.

The DPC/RSU-East fulfills its Marine Corps Total Force obligation by executing three lines of operation in accomplishing it’s mission: Individual Augment (IA) Deployment Processing, which includes processing Active and Reserve Component Marines, Navy Reservists, and Department of Defense civilians and contractors for deployment; Support the transfer of Marine Corps Reserve units from Marine Forces Reserve to Marine Forces Command upon activation when Camp Lejeune is designated as the Intermediate Location and support the transfer of Marine Corps Reserve units from Marine Forces Command to Marine Forces Reserve upon deactivation when Camp Lejeune is designated as the Redeployment Intermediate Location; and Support non-Mobilized Reserve Component unit training aboard Camp Lejeune, which includes support to all Department of Defense Services’ Reserve Components.

The DPC/RSU-East executes its lines of operation by conducting the planning and coordination necessary to successfully accomplish administrative and medical screenings and processing while providing essential training and logistical support to all personnel who pass through its doors. The DPC/RSU-East supported more than 7,500 personnel across its three lines of operation during Fiscal Year 2014.

The DPC/RSU-East is also responsible for supporting the Involuntary Recall of the Individual Ready Reserve.
