Create an Account on the Minnesota Careers Website

​Current state employees should go into their self service account and click on "careers" to view and apply for vacancies. External applicants should go to the Minnesota Careers website and follow the directions to create an account and submit an application. This account will allow you to edit your profile, upload resumes and apply for state jobs.

Search for Employment Opportunities at DPS

​To view current job openings at DPS, follow these steps

  1. Go to the Minnesota Careers website.
  2. To find current DPS job openings, select "Public Safety Dept" in the agency section on the left.
  3. To get details on the openings, click on a job title in the search results section in the center.

Note: If no jobs appear in the search results, then we do not have openings at this time.
