Community Relations requests
The goal of Community Relations (COMREL) is to foster and support the Military-Civilian relationship between Marine Forces Reserve and local, state, and National communities. COMREL is a task assigned to the Public Affairs Department (PAD) which strives to boost public awareness of the unique elements and contributions of Marine Forces Reserve through direct interaction with Marines, their families and their equipment.

Requests for community relations support (static displays, Color Guards, parade participants, etc.) must be submitted by the event organizer or representative via the below links for eligibility determination by PAD. Upon notification of a positive eligibility determination, event organizers should contact the Public Affairs Department at (504) 697-8184.

Due to the operational tempo of Marine units, requests for community relations support should be submitted in sufficient time so that an eligibility determination can be made (~90 days prior to the event date).

Aerial Support

Add an aerial element to your event, whether it be an air show, professional sporting event or commemoration, with a flyover or static display from the USMC.

Ground Equipment

Marine Corps ground equipment static displays offer the public the opportunity to view the various tactical vehicles and equipment the Marine Corps uses daily.

Color Guard

The traditional formation of the Color Guard adds dignity to any military-related activity, parade, or civic event by showing respect to our Nation and those who have served.

Marine Corps Band New Orleans

Instill a sense of national pride and patriotism at your event with the musical styling of Marine Forces Reserve's in-house band.
