Today, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson visited the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. to attend the memorial service for U.S. Coast Guard Cadets Soso Makaridze and Besarion Gorjoladze who passed away in March.
Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Rand Beers today traveled to Texas and Mexico. This morning, Acting Secretary Beers visited McAllen, Texas to inspect border security operations, meet with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees in the region, and receive briefings on the Administration’s efforts in securing the nation’s border and combating narcotics and weapons smuggling, while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) launched a new smartphone app – the first of its kind in U.S. federal law enforcement – designed to seek the public’s help with fugitive and unknown suspect child predators.
