Earth and Rock Works
This technical area involves natural soil and rock slopes, constructed soil and rock embankments, geotechnical aspects of pavements, expansive soils, frost susceptible soils, shales and other degradable materials, varved clays, and waste materials. Method and procedural guidance concerning materials, design, performance, specification, construction, quality assurance/quality control, and construction inspection for transportation applications are provided.
