If your neighborhood has been impacted by Hurricane Matthew and the historical flooding, you may soon see our Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) teams canvassing your area. Using the latest mobile technology, the teams can register you on-the-spot for disaster assistance, update your records, and make referrals to community partners. They’re able to tailor the information and services they provide to your individual needs. DSA teams wear blue FEMA shirts and have FEMA photo identification badges. To prevent fraudulent activities, if photo identification is not displayed, you should ask to see it. Please keep in mind our employees do not solicit or accept money from disaster survivors. If you are concerned someone is impersonating a FEMA representative, you should call your local law enforcement.
