Campaign: Increasing Transparency & Enhancing Disaster Preparedness

Surge Capacity for Ebola

It is time for FEMA to formulate both intrinsic/extrinsic and evacuee-related plans to address situations (like the current ebola crisis).

This should include public/private resources that address not only the situation but also widespread public reaction to the event.

Such an event may serve the propaganda purposes of terrorist groups that may seek to exploit the situation in furtherance of their agenda.

Ted Koppel has just put out a book detailing a frightening scenario if the US power grid was compromised due to a cyber attack...and well, it would cripple our infrastructure for months or years. http://www.salon.com/2015/10/27/ted_koppel_exposes_the_biggest_threat_to_national_security_you_havent_heard_about_the_government_has_no_plan/ The worst part, according to his interviews with key officials, is that the Federal ...more »

Check and Balance on $ will help disaster relief.

I have a free eBook supported by a change.org petition to check and balance money. One of the many national security reasons I cite for doing this is lapse of disaster relief in emergencies. It can be easily argued that leaving such efforts in the hands of organizations such as the Red Cross is ineffective when people need it most. While people struggle with money; they are not thinking about being prepared for life ...more »

Automatic Flood Sign Up

Our plan is to make an automatic sign that will warn people to Turn Around, Don't Drown and also put down a gate across the road so that people won't pass without considering the consequences. It will activate by sensing the water using a float or other type of sensor. As the water level rises the sign will automatically set up to warn people of the dangers and a gate will come down across the road. This eliminates ...more »
