Pooled Fund Studies

A pool fund study is a project to address a new area of research or improvement. When there is an interest presented in solving transportation-related problems, the research and planning associated with this investigation may be funded by several Federal, State, regional, and local transportation agencies, academic institutions, foundations, or private firms. This pooling of resources contributes to the pooled fund study.

A number of Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP)-related pooled fund studies are now underway.
