This learning module provides the learner with the basic skill set needed to be a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). It an overview of the acquisition process, teaming, ethics and integrity, authorities, contract classification, contract types, proper file documentation, performance assessment methods, remedies for poor performance, invoice requirements, contract modifications, and contract management. After completing this module you will receive a certificate of completion towards 6 continuous learning points; these CLPs in combination with the other Defense Acquisition University on-line learning products (mentioned in this module and in the DAU, COR Community of Practice's Training Center), can provide a wide-range of training options (totaling 55 to 179 hours of training). The construct of this module provides a flexible training set that can be tailored to your agencies COR training certification program, adheres to the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) Best Practice Guideline for CORs, and takes advantage of the learner's training at the point of need.
