Summary

At the request of the Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Aviation, the Office of Inspector General plans to audit FAA’s air traffic controller training program and contract, known as the Air Traffic Controller Optimum Training Solution (ATCOTS). Our audit objectives are to determine (1) whether effective controls are in place to ensure that the training and financial goals of the program are met and (2) how the training program will differ from what is currently provided to the controller workforce.
