The USDOT Research Hub is a new web-based, searchable database of USDOT-sponsored research, development, and technology project records. The database acts as a central repository for information on active and recently completed projects from ten USDOT Operating Administrations, providing a comprehensive account of the Department's research portfolio at the project level.
Part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Volpe is a unique federal agency that is 100 percent funded by sponsor projects. The Center partners with public and private organizations to assess the needs of the transportation community, evaluate research and development endeavors, assist in the deployment of state-of-the-art transportation technologies, and inform decision- and policy-making through comprehensive analyses.

Federal Highway Administration
The Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA's) Office of Research, Development, and Technology (RD&T) is located at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC), a federally owned and operated national research facility in McLean, Virginia. The center houses more than 20 laboratories, data centers, and support facilities, and conducts applied and exploratory advanced research in vehicle-highway interaction, nanotechnology, and a host of other types of transportation research in safety, pavements, highway structures and bridges, human-centered systems, operations and intelligent transportation systems, and materials.

USDA Forest Service
The Forest Service operates two Technology and Development (T&D) centers aimed at applying technology and equipment to improve business practices and at keeping employees safe while working in a forest environment. The T&D centers are located in San Dimas, CA, and Missoula, MT. Their primary purpose is support of Forest Service internal activities; therefore, they provide products and services exclusively to Forest Service employees and cooperating agencies.

US Army Corps of Engineers
The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) helps solve challenging problems in civil and military engineering, geospatial sciences, water resources, and environmental sciences for the Army, Department of Defense, and civilian agencies as well as for other federal agencies, state and municipal authorities, and with U.S. industries through innovative work agreements.
