Program:   Exploratory Advanced Research
Project detail
Roadmap/Focus area(s):   Infrastructure Research and Technology Strategic Plan and Roadmap
Project Description:   The project will develop technologies, materials, and methods to either repair or retrofit structures located both above and underwater to inhibit corrosion. The research will utilize the advancements in nanomaterials, especially carbon nanotubes, to develop an onsite spray system to enhance the structural capacity and barrier layer for corrosion resistances.
Background Information:   The project was submitted in response to a fiscal year 2007 Exploratory Advanced Research Program solicitation.
