Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) e-Toolkit

Using the TACT e-Toolkit

FMCSA has developed the "Sharing Ideas to Save Lives" e-Toolkit to help States create the education and outreach materials necessary to successfully implement a high-visibility traffic enforcement program. We have also created individual State e-Toolkits so others can obtain creative ideas from States that have already conducted a TACT program.

The materials and strategies that we have outlined below can help you:

  • Solicit funding
  • Plan and implement a TACT Program
  • Create and expand partnerships
  • Raise public awareness about the positive impact your TACT Program will have in saving lives in your State
  • Build and sustain support for your TACT Program

The e-Toolkit materials provide an explanation of the TACT Program and its components (Communications, Enforcement, and Evaluation), as well as tips and suggestions on effective ways to use these tools to launch, promote, and sustain yourTACT Program. Some of the materials can be printed and used as is, and some are templates that you can customize to reflect information that is specific to your State TACT program. Many of the materials are geared toward helping you launch your initiative, while others will help you start thinking about sustaining your TACT program.

Click on the links below to download the materials to use as part of your State TACT Program.
