Lightweights Sharif Bogere (29-1, 20 KOs), a former world title challenger, and Hylon Williams Jr. (16-3-1, 3 KOs) will meet in the 10-round main event on Dec. 2 at Sam's Town Live in Las Vegas, Mayweather Promotions announced on Wednesday. "I am excited; as ‘The Lion' you will hear me roar on Dec. 2," said Bogere, 28, a Uganda native based in Las Vegas. "This fight will bring me even closer to a title fight, and that is what I am here for." Williams, 26, of Houston, has lost two in a row and knows he is in against a good foe. "I'm facing a tough opponent, but I've already been in the ring in some tough battles and learned from those experiences," Williams said. "I don't see much getting in my way of me stopping him." Ashley Theophane (39-7, 12 KOs), 36, of England, will face an opponent to be named in the junior welterweight co-feature. He was supposed to fight on the Mayweather Promotions card Oct. 8 at Sam's Town but the fight was canceled when his opponent dropped out. Theophane fought for a world title on April 1 but got stopped in the ninth round by Adrien Broner.
