Tactical Communications (TacCom) Equipment & Services IDIQ
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has established a consolidated, department-wide contract vehicle to purchase tactical communication (TacCom) equipment and services, including but not limited to portable/mobile radios, repeaters, routers, installation services, etc.
The TacCom contract vehicle for purchasing applies to the following five technical categories (TCs):
- TC1 Subscriber Base – Portable/mobile radios, control/base stations, software, upgrades, etc.;
- TC2 Infrastructure ‐ Repeaters, routers, comparator systems, OTAR, etc.;
- TC3 Infrastructure Services ‐ Engineering, design, installation, etc.;
- TC4 O&M Services – Maintenance, frequency managers, spectrum managers, etc.; and
- TC5 Test Equipment.
Under this IDIQ, DHS components, its partnering agencies and their subordinate components, including the White House Communications Agency (WHCA), Department of Interior, Department of State, Department of Justice, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Treasury may issue orders on a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M)/Labor-Hour (LH) basis or use a purchase card to acquire commodities.

Period of Performance (POP):
Two base years + 3 one-year option years (3/26/2012 - 3/25/2017) - Note: The total contract period shall not exceed 24 months following the expiration of the contract.
