Border Interoperability Demonstration Project
The Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 authorized the DHS Office of Emergency Communications to establish the Border Interoperability Demonstration Project, a competitive grant program focused on developing innovative solutions to improve emergency communications in communities on the U.S.-Canadian and the U.S.-Mexican borders.
