Industry Outreach Event

On November 10, 2015, the DHS Office of Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) Strategic Sourcing Program Office (SSPO) held its first major Industry Outreach Event at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center at Washington, DC. Over 300 existing and new industry partners from small to large businesses were in attendance. The event facilitated information sharing amongst DHS and its industry partners about DHS’s Strategic Sourcing Program Office as it relates to how it conducts business and how it supports the overall DHS mission. Participants had the opportunity to attend multiple sessions, including: how to do business with DHS on future strategic sourcing vehicles; how to partner with current strategic sourcing contract vehicle holders; and how to market products and services available through strategic sourcing contract vehicles across DHS.

Deputy Administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, Lesley Field, provided the keynote address, while DHS’s Chief Procurement Officer, Soraya Correa, directly addressed questions that industry had regarding strategic sourcing and DHS’s contracts during some of the breakout sessions that were held. DHS’s Chief Information Officer, Luke McCormack, provided the event’s closing remarks.

DHS appreciates your interest in our mission and would like to say thanks to those industry partners who were able to attend the event. Provided below are the presentation slides that were used during the event.
