Data Centers

The Data Centers strategic sourcing vehicle includes two single-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts specifically designed to procure data center support services at the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS’) Data Center 1 (DC1) and Data Center 2 (DC2). Under these IDIQ contracts, all warranted DHS Contracting Officers may issue orders on a Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, and Labor Hour basis.

Theses contracts will enable DHS business and program units to accomplish their mission objectives.  The Date Center IDIQ is designed to offer a range of services, solutions and contract types to fulfill Component and Departmental data center service needs.  These contracts also offers the following benefits:

• Decentralized ordering – Components no longer have to send funding to the Office of the Chief Information Officer via Intra-Agency Agreement;
• Only hourly labor rates escalate from year to year;
• Tier based pricing for some services allows Components to take advantage of larger volume discounts than they could achieve on their own;
• Streamlined, efficient ordering process; and
• Class Formal Acquisition Plan and Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition have been approved

Period of Performance (POP)

DC1: 6-month base period + 4 one-year option years (1/1/2016 - 6/30/2020)
DC2: One base year + 4 one-year option years (6/27/2015 - 6/26/2020)
