What Does DC4 Mean?

What is Digital Citizenship?

Digital Citizenship refers to the rights & responsibilities of participating in today’s global society and economy. Elements of digital citizenship include technology access, digital communication, online etiquette, digital literacy, e-commerce, digital ethics, privacy & security, digital health, and personal safety.

i-SAFE’s cohesive K-12 Digital Citizenship Curriculum encompasses each of these elements while integrating with core subject matter so that students receive necessary training throughout the academic year.

The CIPA/E-Rate program requires schools to educate students on the topics of Appropriate Online Behavior, Social Networking and Chat Rooms, and Cyber Bullying Awareness and Response.

i-SAFE’s compliance technology tracks implementation, monitoring, reporting and storage required by the E-Rate program.
