Program Description

The FEMA Housing Portal helps you find a place to live if you’ve been displaced by a disaster.

The portal combines rental resources to help you find available rental units in your area. The resources are identified and provided by federal agencies like:

  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
  • U.S. Veterans Administration (VA)
  • And by private organizations and individuals

Under Advanced Search, you can select options in different sections to find properties that meet your needs.

The available sections are:

  • Unit Type
  • Lease
  • Utilities
  • Appliances
  • Other, which includes options like Pets Accepted, Accessible, Furnished, and Source Agency

General Program Requirements

Anyone can use the FEMA Housing Portal.

Application Process

No application is required.

If you use the portal, you should call the number on the listing before going to any property to make sure it’s still available.
