FHWA's Road Pricing Feasibility Screening Tool is a spreadsheet that can be used to develop order of magnitude estimates of the traffic and revenue that could be expected for a new toll road. This tool is intended to be applied at an early screening stage, to determine which potential projects merit further and more detailed analysis. This tool:

• Estimates toll road use based on statistical analysis of data from more than 40 operating toll roads
• Can determine whether a potential corridor is a reasonable candidate for tolling, before conducting detailed modeling
• Has minimal data requirements: corridor population, average income, speed differential, length and toll rate
• Provides future-year traffic and revenue estimates plus ranges of statistical uncertainty
