Impacts

A critical stage in the research and technology delivery process is the assessment of how deployed technologies are meeting the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) national mission and strategic goals. There is not one "size" or type of impact assessment process that is appropriate for all of FHWA's major programs that involve research or technology deployment. The following items are a sampling of models, databases, and performance measurement programs that are routinely employed by Agency program managers and stakeholders to assess the relative impact of different innovative processes and technologies.

Note: Over time, the intention is to expand this section to include metrics of progress relative to deployment goals established for each market–ready priority technology.
