Construction Partnering

Innovative & Effective Partnering Practices Conference

Want to know the "state-of-the-art" practices in Construction Partnering? Get informed and learn who has found success in partnering and how best to incorporate new management concepts and tools in your partnering program - to move Construction Partnering beyond its current level of practice.

Hosted by the Nevada Department of Transportation, this three-day national conference presents an information-packed program that features free training and presentations by peer agencies and others on how to make a partnering program successful. Invited attendees include state Departments of Transportation construction staff, local agencies staff, cities, contractors, engineering consultants, FHWA offices, and others that are engaged in managing and constructing highway projects.

Dates: April 4-6, 2017.

Location: Reno, Nevada.

Purpose: To share Construction Partnering best practices among peers to promote its greater use as a proven management tool; emphasis the fundamental concepts, principles and benefits the practice offers to assist the successful completion of projects; and, tell how today's new technology and modern methods can enhance the partnering process among a new generation of construction professionals.

Target Audience: State Departments of Transportation construction staff, local agencies staff, cities, contractors, engineering consultants, FHWA offices, and others engaged in managing and constructing highway projects.

  • Note to FHWA Staff: Per FHWA Guidance for Conferences (HCF-2014-002), a Lead Program Office (LPO) will be designated for a conference where FHWA participation will exceed $10,000. The Office of Asset Management, Pavements and Construction (HIAP-30) is designated the LPO responsible for managing and coordinating FHWA participation for this conference. Do not register for this conference before prior approval by HIAP-30. Please note the number of conference attendees is limited and priority consideration will be given to individuals providing conference support and individuals serving as conference speakers/presenters.
