Ms. Michele Joy is the General Manager, Pipeline Growth, Supply and Distribution, and Vice President, Shell Pipeline Company, L.P. Michele also serves on the Shell Pipeline Leadership Team, which has been particularly focused on personal and process safety improvements. Michele is currently responsible for delivering major new onshore and offshore pipeline projects, including the recently announced Ho-Ho reversal and Westward Ho pipeline between Texas and Louisiana, as well as the off-shore extensions to the Mars and Amberjack pipeline systems, which are under construction. Michele has been with Shell Pipeline since 2006, where she has also served as the Manager of Joint Interest Pipelines and the General Manager for Business Development.

Prior to joining Shell, Michele was the General Counsel for the Association of Oil Pipe Lines from 1991 to 2006. In that role, she was heavily involved in the industry's and regulators' joint work to simplify economic regulation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and to improve pipeline safety, especially pipeline integrity and eliminating outside force damage.

Michele also served 5 years as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University's Transportation Institute and spent 8 years in private practice with a focus in gas and electric regulation and international law.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in French from Carleton College and a Juris Doctorate from American University.
