Are there any restrictions on contacting potential vendors prior to advertising of a solicitation? During the past few months we have received several single bids and we know that there are many qualified vendors in our community who can do the work.
There are no restrictions as to publicizing and/or contacting prospective vendors to encourage them to bid on your projects. This would be a desirable action in order to enhance interest and competition. (Posted: January, 2013)
