The Office of International Law provides legal support to the Office of the Secretary and all modes of transportation.  Our areas of responsibility include: 

• transportation negotiations with foreign countries
• international transportation safety and security
• international trade
• NAFTA legal interpretations
• Global Positioning System
• U.S. air carrier citizenship interpretations
• aviation licensing and regulatory matters involving international air transportation.
