Practicing ArchitectureArchitectural Research
The links on this page lead to several resources: abstracts and full papers from the Research for Practice (RFP) and Upjohn Research Initiatives, the Building Research Information Knowledgebase (BRIK), proceedings of research summits and conferences, a history of research at the AIA, a primer on research, and a list of past submission jurors.
The AIA Practice Relevant Research Roadmap and Action Strategy (2016; PDF) outlines three goals around which the AIA can help support the profession: (1) increase research literacy in the profession, (2) enable and support research within the profession, and (3) illustrate and celebrate research. Potential activities the AIA could pursue are listed. To get involved, contact architecturalresearch@aia.org.
