Cesar Chavez Library
Location: Laveen, Arizona
Architect: Line and Space
Date completed: 2007
The library’s window wall provides abundant daylighting, and the
large overhang protects the building from glare and solar
heat gain. It was chosen as a 2008 COTE Top Ten Green
project. More

Heifer International
Location: Little Rock Arkansas
Architect: Reese Rowland, AIA
Date completed: 2006
A reclaimed wetland wraps three sides of the building, chosen
as a 2007 Top Ten Green Project. The narrow, semicircular floor
plan provides daylight and views for all employees.

Fifth Avenue Duplex
City: New York City
Architect: Shelton, Mindel and Associates
Date completed: 1999
The design problem was to join two contiguous floors in a
low-ceilinged, dark prewar apartment building as well as
to provide views of Central Park. More

New England Farmhouse
Location: Hancock, Maine
Architect: Robert Knight, AIA
Date completed: 2005
The design evokes the shapes and detailing of nearby
19th-century farmhouses but with a distinctly modern treatment.
