About AIA Strategic Alliances + Initiatives

The AIA’s Strategic Alliances + Initiatives department is responsible for direction and oversight of AIA’s relationships with allied and non-profit organizations that support key Institute initiatives related to collaboration, sustainability, globalization, and other industry transformation trends. The staff works with staff, members, and groups to create and oversee ongoing strategic relationships with four types of organizations important to fulfilling AIA’s mission: collateral organizations involved in the education and licensing of architects; allied professional or trade organizations; organizations involved in providing public architecture education; and, international architectural organizations.
